- Samsung / Liga Portugal
Due to all the complexity of the match organisation process, and also due to the various professionals involved (e.g: match officials, delegates, teams, players, referees, police forces, firefighters, emergency services, administrative staff…) our main challenge was to be able to create a very secure and reliable system that was capable of transforming all the match reports operation in such manner that the league office could more effectively process the information for all the professionals, store that information and saving time during the procedure.
Simultaneously, the new process needed to be completely secure, innovative, capable of working with or without internet connection and keep all the data stored securely, with different access levels.
To achieve the best possible solution, on a first step and during two months, we did an extensive analysis on the LPFP existing I.T. infrastructure and at the same time our team attended more than 20 matches, in order to fully understand all the match organisation procedures and demands. After this first step we design and propose to LPFP our solution.
After this time attending to matches we realize that our solution should suit all the professionals that are part of the game, but at the same time the App needed to be different for referees, LPFP delegates and also for the clubs, because all of them are part of the same process but all have different needs and share different pieces of information in different moments. The test environment was mainly in real match situations on 1st and 2nd league matches.
During the 2015/2016 season and also on the first two months of 2016/2017 season, we run more than 100 test matches. Also during the Portuguese League Cup finals in 2016 and also in 2017, the the e-liga app (desktop, tablet and smartwatch) was working.
We have organised work meetings and discussion groups with match officials from the LPFP, and with referees, and the referees association in order to have everything working according 100% according to the competition rules.
